Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant with at least 1 year of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Tally and possess a fundamental understanding of accounting principles. This role will involve managing daily accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and supporting the senior accounting team.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Accounting Operations:
- Record daily financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in Tally.
Accounts Reconciliation:
- Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
- Assist in resolving discrepancies in accounts and financial reports.
Invoice and Billing Management:
- Generate invoices and track payments.
- Ensure timely collection and payment of outstanding invoices.
Financial Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Support senior accountants with data for reports and analysis.
General Ledger Maintenance:
- Update the general ledger and maintain subsidiary accounts.
- Review and verify transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
- Organize and maintain documentation, including invoices, receipts, and financial records.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or a similar role.
- Proficiency in Tally software.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with MS Office, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
